About Erich Christian
Erich Suter holds a BSc degree in information technology from Gjøvik University College (now NTNU) and an MSc degree in applied mathematics (geometric modelling) from the University of Oslo. He also completed a number of graduate courses in geology and geological interpretation at the University of Stavanger. He has worked at IRIS since 2003. His current research interests are within earth modelling and reservoir modelling, aiming at effective geosteering decision support under uncertainty. The main focus is on numerical methods for earth model updates in real-time, based on the combination of knowledge from reservoir modelling, geometric modelling, scientific computing and drilling technology, as well as petroleum geology and geological interpretation under uncertainty.
