25.04.2016About 120 participants joined in on a workshop to discuss current issues regarding IOR / EOR research.
The workshop was held by the National IOR Centre of Norway
at the University of Stavanger on 25 April. Industry experts, researchers and research fellows/PhD students were invited to hear presentations and join in on the discussion. The theme of the workshop was “How can research contribute to pilots? – Experiments and modeling”.
Ekofisk and Snorre
After presentations by Assistant Professor Lesley James (Memorial University of Newfoundland), Professor Jan Otto Fossum (NTNU) and Professor Aksel Hiorth (IOR centre), focus was switched to two projects: The Ekofisk and the Snorre field.
From IRIS Tuhin Bhakta and Arne Stavland presented on “Estimation of reservoir parameter changes using 4D seismic data of Ekofisk field” and In-depth water diversion – upscaling from lab to field”, respectively.
The workshop was held one day prior to the conference IOR 2016 Recovery for the future.
