IRIS' Oslo office
12.12.2013Seven employees from IRIS currently hold office in Oslo. Out of these, five work in the Energy department while two work in the Social science department. The proximity to clients, authorities, the Research Council of Norway and the University of Oslo (UiO) is important to IRIS.
The IRIS Oslo office is located in Oslo Science Park (Forskningsparken) where more than 160 companies and research organizations rent offices and labs. The office comprises 12 separate offices and a meeting room with video conference equipment.
Research scientist Jan Ludvig Vinningland is the location manager. He holds a Dr. Scient degree in Physics from UiO, and has for three years now been working in the Enhanced Oil Recovery group with reactive flow modeling in reservoir rocks. He is currently involved in the following projects: “Optimized Water Chemistry”, “Water Weakening of Chalk”, “Wettability measurement by NMR”, and the new project “Reactive flow during water flooding – from pore to core”.
Oslo Science Park is situated between the campuses of the University and the Oslo University Hospital, and is easily reached by T-bane from downtown Oslo in 10 minutes.
