04.07.2017IRIS Environment participated in the annual seminar organized by ConocoPhillips
In June, IRIS Environment participated in the annual seminar organized by ConocoPhillips on their Northern Area program. The focus of these two days ( 20-21 June) was on Solutions, challenges and opportunities with emphasis on the Northern areas”
During day 2, the 12 projects within the Arctic Research program of ConocoPhillips were presented and among those the IRIS project on innovative methods for oil leak detection co-financed by the Research Council, ConocoPhillips and Lundin. The question asked was "Can we use microbes to tell us about the presence of oil in seawater and The Environmental Sampling processor to detect them autonomously?”
A chapter on this project was included in the book Arctic Approach, published by ConocoPhillips earlier this year.
