Visit from DTU in Copenhagen
02.02.2016Centre Director Bo Cerup-Simonsen and Head of Drilling and Production Technology Kitt Anita Ravnkilde from DHRTC at DTU in Copenhagen visited IRIS and DrillWell last week.
Kitt A. Ravnkilde is member of the Scientific Advisory Committee in DrillWell, and this was her and Mr Cerup-Simonsen's first visit to IRIS. Common challenges and common goals led to many fruitful discussions during the day. The chalk fields on the Danish shelf have a lot in common with Ekofisk and the chalk fields on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
Among the presentations during the day were sement integrity in DrillWell, Virtual Arena, automated drilling and several of our target areas within IOR.
On the agenda was potential collaboration with Danish Hydrocarbon Research & Technology Centre (DHRTC). - To work in the intersection between academia and industry can be both rewarding and challenging says Vice President of IRIS Energy, Kristin Flornes, - and establishing collaboration with international academic partners is a very good place to start.
