The main activity in the petroleum laboratory is testing and research within Special Core Analysis (SCAL) and improved recovery. The core analyses provide valuable information about the reservoir which in turn is used in different simulation tools.
The laboratory contributes to optimizing evaluations of the reservoir through:
- Special Core Analyses (degree of wettability, capillary pressure, electrical abilities and relative permeability)
- Petrophysical measurements (capillary pressure curves, resistivity measurements and compressibility)
- Simulation and interpretation of experiments
- Experiments for improved recovery
The laboratory’s advanced equipment enables the scientists to conduct experiments with high pressure and high temperature in order to recreate reservoir conditions. The equipment is flexible and scalable and can be adapted to various needs.
