Facilities

The staff
The core-laboratory is operated by skilled petroleum engineers and physicists, capable of managing projects of any complexity, operating state-of the-art SCAL equipment, as well as making the associated analysis of data. In addition, IRIS has more than fifteen years of experience in combining experiments with simulation for design of experiments, history matching of core analysis data, and of formalized quality control.

Facilities
Our SCAL-laboratory comprises the most advanced equipment in the world. Through a wide range of services it often acts as the stepping stone for new technology to the oil field industry.

Apparatus for reservoir condition studies:
  • Three phase SS/USS with X-ray, vertical/horizontal positioning
  • Two phase SS/USS
  • Two and three phase USS
  • Capillary pressure and resistivity index
  • Foam/gel
  • Exxon centrifuge, full reservoir conditions with live crude
  • Slim tube
  • Formation damage

  • Two-phase SS/USS with X-ray, vertical/horizontal positioning
  • Capillary pressure and resistivity index
  • Petrophysics

Centrifuges for elevated temperature studies:
  • Exxon centrifuge
