Arild Lohne holds an MSc in Petroleum Technology from the University of Stavanger. His first experience within IRIS includes 15 years from the Core and IOR laboratories. Since 1990, a gradual increasing part of his work has been on interpretation, modelling and simulation of laboratory experiments. In the period 2000-2010, he worked with development of numerical simulation codes addressing formation damage during drilling and upscaling of multi-phase flow functions. The last years (since 2013) he has been working within the National IOR Centre of Norway with development of IORCoreSim, a tool for simulation and interpretation of laboratory SCAL type and IOR type experiments, and for scaling of laboratory results to smaller field scale models.
