About Anders

I was born in 1980 in Etnedal in Valdres and finalized my PhD at University of Oslo in 2010. Since 2011 I worked as a senior scientist at IRIS and now I hold an associate professor at University of Stavanger. At IRIS and UIS I have been working on the relation between the pore fluid composition and the mechanical strength of reservoir rocks using experimental, chemical and analytical tools. The injection of non-equilibrium brines pose a threat to the reservoir and well stability, but also a possibility to enhance the oil production. The applications of this knowledge can be extended beyond reservoir systems, such as carbon sequestration and storage, as well as in the more basic research focused on understanding of how porous materials are being held together.
