Ingebret Fjelde (IRIS) has both PhD and MSc degree in Chemistry from the University of Bergen, Norway. He has currently a Chief Scientist position in the Improved Oil Recovery group at IRIS, where he has been employed since 1988. His main research interests are enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods in sandstone and carbonate rock (e.g. wettability alteration, low salinity water flooding, surfactant flooding, CO2-flooding, foam, new EOR methods, and combination of EOR-methods), formation damage mechanisms, CO2-storage, and chemical analyses. He has since 2012 been Adjunct Professor at the University of Stavanger (UiS) in Petroleum Technology, IOR. Since 1993, he has given courses at UiS (Enhanced Oil Recovery, Reservoir Technology and Organic Chemistry). He has been supervisor for students at UiS (5 PhD-students, 23 MSc-students and 32 BSc-students).
