Widuramina S. Amarasinghe has a Master's degree in Process Technology (University College of Southeast Norway (USN), Porsgrunn, Norway, 2017). He recently graduated with the master's thesis Waste heat availability in the raw meal department of a cement plant. He has a BSc in chemical and process engineering (University of Moratuwa (UOM), Sri Lanka, 2015). He has experience from different teaching assistant positions and has worked as a research assistant assembling and running experiments in a lab-scale unit used as part of a calcium looping system, and he has worked as an assistant during full-scale trials on a cement kiln operating with alternative fuels. Widuramina`s main research interests are enhanced oil recovery, CO2 capture and storage, particle technology, energy optimization, process modeling, CFD simulations and experimental work.” Currently he is working on his PhD at IRIS under the topic of Convection and wettability alteration in CO2 Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR).
