IRIS-studien alene viser ikke om hydrogenperoksid skader reker i sjøen

Resultater av laboratorieforsøk som IRIS har utført på reker i vanntanker tilsatt avlusningsmedisinen hydrogenperoksid, viser at det kan gi vesentlig skade på reker. Men basert på disse laboratorieforsøkene alene, kan vi ikke konkludere at rekene i naturen blir eksponert for skadelige konsentrasjoner av hydrogenperoksid etter lusebehandlinger i oppdrettsnæringen. Vi trenger feltstudier og spredningsmodeller for å få denne kunnskapen.
